I have examined the accompanying Ordinance, entitled

An Ordinance to amend the Law of Libel and Slander

and I am of opinion that the Ordinance is one which is not contrary to

the Governor's Instructious,

Since the local Ordinance, N. 5 of 1887 was passed, the Imperial Nets of 1881 and 1888, relating to Libel, (44 and 45 Vich c 60 and 51 and 52 Vief (64) as well as The Stander of Women Act, 1891, have been inacted. It has, accordingly, been
